Our day will start off by visiting the Ancon Hill; even if is not possible to go to the top by car we go through the hill and tell some details about it. Depending on the group the option to go to the top hiking could be available. This Hill is the highest point in the City of Panama with an amazing 360 view, it’s about 700 feet above sea level, where you can see the City of Panama, Old City/ Casco Viejo, Panama Canal , the bridge of the America´s among others. It’s a perfect spot for the Perfect Pictures!!
Then we will visit the Visitor Center of the Panama Canal Miraflores Locks to watch the ships transit. Enjoy the viewing platforms, learn more about The Canal at the museum and watch a short 15 minutes film about the canal’s history.
We head under the Bridge of the Americas, past the Frank Gehry BioMuseum and out to the Amador Causeway where we will stop for lunch (not included).
Amador Causeway artificial road built by the American Military forces to protect the canal entrances or exits on both ends.
The rest of the afternoon will be spent on a walking tour of Old Town, Casco Viejo: Colonial city built in 1673; today in the process to be restored. It’s a has beautiful views and narrow streets of Casco Viejo will embrace you like 300 years ago. The Old Town is also recognized as Casco Viejo, declared world heritage by UNESCO.
